Part 1:
This series is a mix of aerosol, oil, acrylic, liquid mediums, and photography. For "Taylor's Constellation," I took a photograph in 35mm black and white film, then experimenting with alternative processing techniques by altering the chemical processin the darkroom. I scanned it and played with the digital image before turning it into a gel print which I blended into the canvas using the same linseed, turpentine, and varnish I used with my oils to create the abstraction of a cracking face and torso that is both mediums at once.
