New York City
From the roots phōtos, meaning "light," and graphé, meaning "drawing" we get tthe word photography. These photos are all from the first I year I lived in new york when I was 18 and 19 when I was focused on the painterly aspect of developing film, paricularily overdrawing with light and shadow on top of my pictures.

These are just some of those experiments in the darkroom: altering the chemical concentrations and application (such as coating the image with cloth instead of submerging them in a bath), scratching the image at the different stages throughout the chemical treatment, under- and over-fixing (the yellowed effect comes from under-fixing and then briefly exposing to sunlight before finishing the fixing process), layering negatives, and a bunch of mistakes.
